gymnastic girls

ok fine, since people want to hear about this apparently, it goes like this. I am working and it isn't too busy when all of the sudden 2 teams of gymnastic girls all come in. There are several of the attractive nature and so my spirits rise abit. Anyway there are also a couple (not many) that aren't so good looking. One in particular has a pretty face but her body could use some dextrel if you know what I mean. Anways... So then I am by the lazy river the girl I was talking about come by in a tube (so I can only see her face). and goes 'I lost my number, can I have yours' I quickly shake my head. and so she flips her hair in disdain and keeps on down the river. Then like 5 seconds later I see the girl on the other side of the park. I quickly look back to see the girl, who I had misteken her identity, get out of the river and who has an amazing body. I then shed a single tear and kept on lifeguarding...

Josiah, where art thou?

C'mon josiah. Jason wants us to update more often. start posting. Something along the lines of your fabulous Christmas Ball experience, or your run-in with the gymnists in the sauna at Comfort Suites on break the other night. Or, whatever you feel like

C'mon Jason. Add us to your links!

So I woke up this morning fully expecting to go to swim at 9. Family from the Twin Cities were up, and it had been a late night. I wake up at 830, groggily grabbed a little hunk of Banana bread, and head out the door. I get to the high school with four minutes before I am supposed to be on deck. Then it hits me. Today, the day after Christmas, is December 26. Imagine that. We have practice at 2, and this has been posted on the board in the pool for two weeks. idiot. So I turn around in the parking lot of the high school and head home, stopping at SAVE foods for some gas. Only that doesn't work either. The pumps aren't working.

IDIOT. And I could have been sleeping.
Did I mention that I was really cold too?

Now, a Choice

Without further ado, I present to you some fabulous information:
Today, Satuday, December 17, the mail came. Right. That's nothing new, but there was a letter amongst the relatively unimportant advertisments that pertained to me.
Return Address:

University of Notre Dame
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
Notre Dame, IN 46556-5602 USA

An alumni of Notre Dame, Dad was pretty excited because the envelope was large; rejection letters don't come in big packages.

I opened it:

"Dear Tim,

Congratulations! On behalf of the Committee on Admissions, I am pleased to offer you a place in Notre Dame's 2006 Freshman Class. I trust that you will view this offer of admission as a special recognition of your accomplishments during the past four years, and as a vote of confidence in your potential for success during you collegiate career. "......

Anyway, the bottom line is that I am two for two in acceptance to colleges, and I really don't want to apply anywhere else. (The other college is St. Thomas) So things are looking pretty sweet. And Christmas ball is tonight. "Excitment is in the air."

Survival

I survived another week at BHS. I don't know how it happened, but somehow, everything worked out. I swam well in our meet on Thursday, made the paper twice, played in a band concert on tuesday, (I am now, according to our program, section leader for not only the trombone section but the tuba section as well) and finally bought a Christmas ball ticket. Which is, by the way, tomorrow night. That is, after a full day of Choir rehearsal, current events stuff, and shopping.

My biggest accomplishment of the week was last night's last-minute completion of the Arts, Athletics, and Academics scholarship for the.... well, for something like 1k. That was 1:00 this morning actually, and today was a daze. I hate not enough sleep. I believe that is the first time I have posted that, but it promises to be a reaccuring theme.

There will be hundreds of Christmas ball stories online, some remotely similar and others entirely unique. I promise to have one among them. As of now, things look like this:

I stop by holbrook's house sometime around 6, and we head over to Jenna's for dinner. Penoyer might ride with us too. The purpose of this is efficiancy, since we are going to holbrook's house afterwards for a grandisimo afterparty, he needn't drive.
Jenna's house dinner is at 630, afterwhich we will head to the ball stylishly late of course. Then there are no lines.
The groove goes on for several hours, then we head to holbrook's for the snowball fight of the year, or whatever he has in mind.

It promises to be an interesting night.

Carrots and Cookies and Cream Ice Cream

Lunch today was quite possibly the most amusing lunch yet this year. Everything happened in a matter of seconds, however, but the reprecussions left us doubled up for quite some time.

So I eat where I normally eat, with my grab-n-go plate in the lunch room. Not a big fan of brunch for lunch, this was the option I chose. Jenna and hannah finish before I did, and gracia and jennifer left for band. so I grabbed the remainder of the grab-n-go and head out to the hall, with banana, carrots, and goldfish in my sweatshirt pocket for safe keeping.

As usual, there was a collection of several people in the hall, including james strand, nick nathan johnny v, grant, and others. I start eating my carrots. and as usual, I have to flick, or rather, pinch launch, at least one. it is an addiction. I don't know why. but it always has amazing effects. perhaps that's because I quite frequently hit nick nathan... and well, need I say more?

Today was particularly thrilling, however, because james was standing between nick and I, and I stuck my arm out and launched the little orange deamon.

my aim is improving.
It hit Nick on the cheek, and the carrot bounced into his "warrior whip" ice cream. The effects were spontaneous. In a flurry of cuss words, Nick took his spoon, full of ice cream, and flung it in my direction. Remember, james was standing between nick and I. So more cuss words ensued, with nick jumping around ranting about how i have thrown carrots at him (although this isn't the proper term) since we met, and james wondering what the hell just happened, and why there is a clump of ice cream on the side of his head, on his shirt, and all over his arm. Realizing what he did, nick jumps up and down even more, flailing his arms like a lobster, still angry with me. He scuttles into the bathroom to grab paper towels for james, because the rest of us are paralyzed with laughter. I figured it was in my best interest to start heading towards the band room before nick improved his aim, but he stalked off first.

Following was the unanimous decision that I had officially ruined nick's day, and that he would be pissed for quite some time. At least, until he drives all the way to the triangle ice cream outlet on the farside of town.

I ate the banana in band, and Mr. Melbey believes me to be a resident gopher of the band room.

Prom

Ok so as many poeple know the possible themes for prom are as follows: Candyland, Afterglow, Camelot, or under the moonlit night.

Candyland- This could be an exciting but risky choice. While the thought of being able to eat all the props sounds very appetizing thing could get alittle sticky. It would promise to be a colorful night.

Afterglow- This seems like a more conservative choice. This choice's high point is prolly that fact that there would be alot of glow-in-the-dark stuff. There prolly wouldn't be any far-out sweet stuff though.

Camelot- This along with candyland is a more controversial choice. Castles all around could create a fantasy type setting and a giant castle to take pictures next to would be sweet. A downside of this is just the concept of my senior proms theme being camelot. It may take some of the, for lack of a better word, specialness away. The greatest bonus of this is the promise of mike ramsdahl that is canelot wins he will roll a d20 dice all night to see what he will do.

Under the Moonlit night- This may be the most typical type prom theme. Most conservatives will likely pick this one. A big moon hanging from the ceiling would prolly be the most exciting prop of the night.

This writers choice... Under the Moonlit night. I guess I just like the nighttime :P

Such diversity

In searching about our nation's educational system, I stumbled upon a listing for our own school.
Check out the ethnicity.

Parker, where have you gone?

time trials

Today's swim practice consisted of time trials in all four strokes, after a short warm-up. they were followed by, but not soon enough as chattering teeth reached dangerous decibal levels, twenty 100's. I found myself incredibly thankful for the 3000 yards that Josiah and I put in yesterday at the YMCA, because mondays at swimming usually suck for me, after two days off.
J-rod posted some incredibly impressive times in his strokes, at least in relativity. Perhaps the rest of us are out of shape.

That shall quickly change.
Talk today was about two-a-day practices, on MWF, for those distance swimmers, and those "special" swimmers.
Times for me were mediocre, with the hellish return of the perpetual stomach problems during races and sprints, but what else is new? At least i was under 25.0 in the 50 free.
