yay

Alot of mixed feelings at the moment..

Good- I finally got my admin status back so thats exciting.

Bad- Shakira's 'Hips Don't Lie' has been knocked off of Launch's #1 this past week

Good- Riddles in the dark is coming up and max has said 'Teams are encouraged to wear appropriate attire, preferably dark enough to avoid undue pedestrian attention but reflective enough to avoid being hit by a car,' which I take as covering 99% of my body with black, so that should be sweet.

Bad- My roommate still hasn't answered my e-mail so I don't know anything about him.

Good and Bad- 'Sexyback' by JT... it's so bad yet I can't stop listening...

Waterskiing

So I now have a new waterski. And I love it. It was an "investment" as I call it, and I am glad to have made it. I have had it since last thursday, and today I gave it a try on the waterskiing course on gilbert. I made it around two, two and a half bouys before not cutting hard enought to make it to the next. It was a lot of fun though, and I can't wait to try a course again.
In the course of the past month, I have waterskied just about every day save five or six when I have been gone. Amazing.

Movies

well I have seen alot of movies this summer (in the theater) for some reason, mostly because for some reason movies that I would usually wait to come out on DVD I have gone and seen. And I have been suprisingly pleased with the output. So here is a brief summary.

The Lake House: Well you would think with keanu Reeves in the movie there would be atleast 1 sweet fight scene but alas there isn't one. This one I would have to say is prolly the best romance/sci fi movie I have seen in a long time. The only downside of this is that it is the only romance/sci fi movie I have seen (not counting sci fi channel original movies...). It had some decent scenes but overall not awesome. I will give it 2 out of 5 stars.

The Da Vinci Code: Well there was definitely a split on this movie. Everyone I talk to either loved it or was dissapointed with it. Though I did notice one common trend; people who read the book were disappointed and people who hadn't read the book loved the movie. I, not having read the book, really liked the movie. I enjoyed the complicity of the story line. I may even read the book. I will give this movie a 3 1/2 stars out of 5.

X-Men III- I went to this movie twice in the theater. It was a typical marvel comics movie, which is not a bad thing just at times it could seem kind of predictable, though they did atleast change this trend by killing off two large characters. And of course as always it sets up another sequel. I will give this movie 3 1/2 stars out of 5. (yes iknow hawkeye will totally disagree with me :P)

Pirates of the Carribean II- Well this I would have to say was one of the best sequels I have ever seen. It managed to bring back every even semi-major character from the first one, but was also able to add more depth to the major characters. The humor was almost identical to the the original, but nonetheless still did the job. The worst part of this movie for me was the ending because you have to wait until the next one, which is a compliment. I will give this movie 4 1/4 stars out of 5.

The Devil Wears Prada: I know what your thinking, 'what the heck is he doing going to that movie.' Well I went to this movie not expecting alot, but this was my most pleasent suprise movie of the summer. I think this movie was done extremely well. I basic knowledge of fashion is definitely needed for most of the humor and a more in depth knowledge makes it even funnier. I was expecting a movie similar to something like the 'Princess Bride,' but thats really not what it is. At times it might seem as if the storyline is getting predictable, but the author (it was first a book) does a good job of throwing in some plot twists (escpecially at the end.) And unlike most movies of its genre it does not end fairy tale style which is nice. I am going to make a bold move and give this movie my best rating so far of 4 1/2 stars out of 5, though I would not recommend this movie to people looking for a film that is too in depth.

Some more movies I still plan on seeing this sumemr include: Superman Returns, Nacho Libre, Click, Cars (I have heard all good reviews), and Goal! The Dream Begins. This last one is my most anticipated movie, but apparently is not playing in brainerd, or St. Cloud, or The Cities. I really can't find where it is playing so if anyone has any info...

have a good day

This year I didnt get any fours on the five ap tests I took. Not all were perfect. I passed all of them.
They are:
Macro
Micro
Lang
Spanish
AB Calc
Guess the scores.

This year's scores, and my cumulative average, make me a National AP Scholar for 2006. The qualifications: 8 tests with 4 or higher and an average of at least 4 on all tests taken.

Fine, I will post

Ok well I suppose I will still post some but that doesn't mean I am fine with my privileges being taken away... SO my last soccer tournament was this weekend, it was decent. I don't think I will be able to go through college without playing competitive soccer though so I looked into club teams and I found the Cleveland Internationals, which seem to be an extremely good year-round team, and I could possibly try-out in mid-october, we will see about that. Anyways I am gonna see Pirates of the Carribbean tmrw, I am excited for that. I work alittle bit and don't have alot else going on this next week....
