Six days....

Yes. That is all for me until I leave. Today is Sunday, and I leave on Saturday.

For those that do not know, I will be a seminarian at St. John Vianney Undergraduate Seminary on the Campus of St Thomas. Matriculation in the seminary does not mean that I will be a priest; rather, it simply means that I am committed to discerning a calling to the vocation. If I discern that God wants me to be a priest, I would have, at the very least, four years of undergraduate schooling and three to four years of graduate schooling, plus possible pastoral years in between for formation. Thus, it would be, God willing, seven to eight years before I would be ordained: please hold off on any "Fr. Tim's." :)

I am excited for the awesome fraternity and formation found at SJV, and I believe UST to be a great school. Granted, it isn't Notre Dame, but sometimes the sacrifice of one life, dream, or ambition is necessary for the institution and growth of another. Sometimes old dreams must die for the birth of the new; and, with faith, with every death there is new life in resurrection.

It has been a while since I have posted, and I apologize. Yet, there is nothing that I could have done, seeing I didn't have much for internet access for three weeks. From youth retreats to time at the family cabin to camp counseling to a weekend with the seminarians, I have scarcely been home. Not to mention working at the Classic.

Speaking of which, I am disappointed that I couldn't work this past Friday; there was a very wealthy individual at the course: he tipped a 100 dollar bill for the washing of his clubs. In all, he tipped 280 for the day and lost 1500 in bets on the course. He is in his early thirties and owns his own company. We split tips, so for the day the breakdown was an additional 24 per hour. Sadly, I wasn't there. Some people have a lot of money.

That's all for now.
